Sardar Patel popularly known as the Iron Man of India, was one of the father of the Republic of India. As a statesman of integration, Sardar Patel accomplished a task which was much more complex and stupendous. His role in the struggle did not end with the independence of India as he was the man who guided the country to become united independent nation. His success was achieved with such a finesse and elegance that it looked like the work of a magician. But the magic was in the personality and reputation of Sardar Patel and his persona had been created through an exemplary leadership over many decades of the struggle for freedom.
