Summary/Abstract Migration is lifeblood of the world with almost every part of the globe experiencing the movement of people. Today the immigration debate does not merely start and end with America (Chidanand, January ). As the Twentieth Century witnessed a large movement of asylum seekers in the whole world, the Asian countries were disproportionately engulfed in this crisis for a much longer period in history.
