A classification of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in terms of the required reliability is proposed with due regard to the main determining factors, including their class, level of tasks being solved, take-off weight, flying range and endurance, and required reliability. Construction and operation specifics of onboard control systems of various unmanned aerial vehicles are revealed.
