Summary/Abstract |
The present essay discusses the continuing tensions among three dominant powers viz. America, Russia and China wherein these powers are engaged in trilateral front in their respective bid to surpass the other. An economically robust India,is now evolving a broad-based fulcrum of national policy building institutions and dedicated service-oriented professional administrative structure to ensure speedy economic and scientific-technological growth, besides overcoming population explosion, cutting down corruption across sectors, and narrow sectarian interests, against the backdrop of the prevailing hostilities among the super and major powers. The current scenario is indeed very volatile and insecure and that may lead to very frightening proportions, wherein peaceful nations, including India, are required to remain very cautious in pursuing and protecting their respective national interests.

Summary/Abstract |
The current tensions in West Asia and the looming war clouds over the skies of Iran appear to be the fallout of Tehran-Riyadh traditional animosity and the US’ killing one of the top most military officer Major General Qasim Soleimani of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps outside the Baghdad International Airport on 3rd Jan. 2020 through a precision missile attack and also due to Washington’s unilateral withdrawal from the much celebrated Nuclear Treaty with Teheran, which altogether have further aggravated the already tense and mutually suspicious relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia on the one hand and also Tehran and Washington on the other.
