The power oil and the wealth it generated for both Saudi Arabia and Iran were to see themselves as the keepers of ‘their way of Islam’ are the ‘better one for all Muslims.’ Roughly the two ways evolved over time, each with their colour of Islam wanted the world to recognize them as supreme.
