Unsung saga of the ethnic minorities: repudiating the politics of majoritarian nationalism in India / Brar, Gurpreet Singh   Journal Article
Brar, Gurpreet Singh Journal Article
0 Rating(s) & 0 Review(s)
Summary/Abstract The study primarily negates the thesis that whole India has politically got tinctured in the shade of saffron due to the political dominance of the BJP stimulated by the personality charisma of Narendra Modi. The study argues that the illusion of establishing homogenous nationalism in India by provoking the sentiments of religious majority is not acceptable to ethnic minorities in India. The ethno-religious minorities, i.e. Muslims in the Kashmir region and Sikhs in Punjab, as well as the ethno-linguistic minority of Tamils in Tamil Nadu, have expressed their strong reaction against the Hindu and Hindi nationalism of the BJP.
