Summary/Abstract THE Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is the second-largest international organization after the United Nations and was created to ensure the unity of the ummah, defend it, and advance its interests. The OIC seeks to promote moderate Islam, interreligious dialogue, and sociocultural harmony both in Muslim countries and in non-Muslim countries where there are Muslim minorities.
