Summary/Abstract |
The Indo-Pacific, as an extended “supra-region” constructencompassing two oceans, is still in its infancy and does not have anintegrated institutional framework. Moreover, the Indo-Pacific regionhas more conscious of security and economic activities. An integrated institution can boost regional prosperity and strengthen maritime governance. At large, create a pan-regional framework to deal with a common issue which connects throughout the Indo-Pacific region. If it is not possible, then the region may be faced with difficulties to uphold in the long-term interest without the development of pan-regional institutions to govern the ocean.
