India’s approach to development is human centric in cooperation with many development partners. In 2022 it surpassed the UK to become the fifth largest economy of the world. Reduction in import and enhancing domestic manufacturing are emphasized but the main issues are parity in distribution of the growing national income and reducing unemployment both for the skilled and
unskilled people. At the backdrop of recent economic trends and fast changing regional and international scenario balancing growth with development priorities , international relationship and national interest need to be focused.
