Summary/Abstract
Indian government rechristened the erstwhile Rajpath as K ar tavya Path in its spate of changing the names of cities, towns, rivers, monuments to erase most symbols of the colonial past. This has been projected by the ruling combinations as assertion of independence which India won 75 years ago and completing the task of achieving full sovereignty-hood and state-hood. This is just another renaming of physical assets of India to make the Indian feel proud of their glorious past and re-asser t their existence and personality on the global stage. However, in a democracy nothing goes unopposed so were the situation even for this course of action of the present government.

Summary/Abstract
G20 presidency is the litmus test of India’s international personality and clout. It has given an unprecedented opportunity to establish its credibility in tackling the fragmented global order. It has been made obvious, right in the beginning that G20 is not the forum to resolve security issues. It has largely been evolved into a leading platform for economic cooperation. However, as stated above this also is the stark reality that G20 cannot move forward in the direction of achieving its objectives if security issues are not addressed on the platform.
