Summary/Abstract The collective efforts of the United States and India are pivotal in steering global responses to the increasingly urgent climate crisis. The trajectory set during the COP21 in Paris, with its stringent target of limiting global warming to 1.5°C, amplifies the significance of ongoing collaborative endeavours between these two influential economies. As the COP28 unfolds, conducting the inaugural “global stocktake,” the commitments and actions of these nations remain central to achieving the Paris Agreement’s goals. The U.S. Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) stands as a beacon for substantial investments in clean energy transition within the United States. However, its potential perception as trade protectionism poses risks to global cooperation.

Summary/Abstract Defence Cooperation has been a basic component of Indo-US partnership as this has both strategic and economic shared interests, in light of the democracy based philosophy of the two nations. This article features the collaborations and way forward between the two countries and discusses the advancing Indio-US defence relationship and the way forward. It subtleties the obstructions, which require substantial activity from the two sides. From an Indian point of view, while the government has made significant strides towards strategy advancement, more needs to be done to bring the procurement process in line with best global practices which will facilitate ‘Ease of Doing Business’ as well as cut down procurement timelines.
