Summary/Abstract In the conclusion, it won’t be wrong to say that the initiatives taken by China towards the middle east under Xi Jinping’s leadership will have big implications for the political and economic future of the region. The highlight which dominated the last month, is certainly the deal between Saudi Arabia and Iran, but what is highlighted more in the deal is the mediator. It is certainly a big geopolitical move the Chinese which will have defining results if the deal succeeds and brings long lasting peace to the conflict prone region. Adding to the anxieties of the United States, it also brings a new image of China with the caption - New International Peacemaker.

Summary/Abstract Vinayak Damodar Savarkar (28 May, 1883 - 26 February, 1966) also famous as Swatantryaveer Savarkar was a freedom fighter and ardent Indian nationalist from Maharashtra. Savarkar was indisputably the most influential personality, who championed the cause of “Hindu” rights in 20th century and still remains the undisputed icon of the ideology of “Hindutva” in the contemporary times. Savarkar dedicated his whole life for the independence of India. Along with fighting for the independence of the country Savarkar contributed extensively in awakening of the Hindu society during his lifetime. Savarkar also wrote on varied range of topics which are still of pivotal importance for the contemporary Indian society.

Summary/Abstract On 3rd September 2023, speaking at a conference on ‘Eradicating Sanatana Dharma From the Society’, in Tamil Nadu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, the Grandson of Tamil Nadu’s longest serving Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and Son of present day Chief Minister of the state M.K. Stalin, triggered a new political storm with his remarks on Sanatana Dharma. Saying, “The conference’s title is apt. I appreciate them for calling for the eradication of Sanatana and not merely opposing it. For instance, mosquitoes, Dengue, Malaria, and Corona, we should eradicate these, and not just oppose. Likewise, Sanatana should also be eradicated from the society. It is not enough if we merely oppose it.”, the third generation DMK scion sparked a new controversy. The statement by Udhayanidhi Stalin, started a new debate around the Sanatana Dharma and its linkage with the Bhartiya Civilisation.
